The World Village Festival cooperates with several authorities. A long-time partner is the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland.

The activities of the festival's main organiser, the Service Center for Development Cooperation - KEPA, are funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs development cooperation appropriations.
