NGOs that organise and promote civil society activities are the heart and essential programme providers of the festival. NGOs can participate in the Market of Possibilities Tent or bring their own tent to the festival area. NGO stalls can also be grouped together to form smaller thematic unities. NGOs should take care in specifying their aims at the festival, and choose the location and contents of their stalls based on these aims.

NGOs as programme producers

NGOs have an opportunity to participate in the production of the festival programme. Each year, organisations hold discussions, invite international guests and produce cultural performances.

NGOs as food vendors

Food has always been a favourite for World Village festival-goers. Apart from businesses, many NGOs also sell food. It is a good way of presenting their culture, activities, and autonomously funding their activities.

NGOs and publicity

The organizations' own info-channels, e.g. emailing lists, web-pages, magazines and events are an important part of the World Village Festival's publicity.
