The panel discussion focuses on politics from the perspective of challenges faced by women in both Finland and Tanzania. The topics range from co-operation and solidarity among women to expectations, pressure and prejudices women politicians encounter on a daily basis. Gender roles in politics are placed under careful scrutiny.

The panelists are MP Ulla Karvo, Chairperson of Demo Finland, National Coalition Party; Sara Eklund, Chairperson of the Women’s Organisation of the Swedish People’s Party; and MP Minna Sirnö, Chairperson of the Coalition of Finnish Women’s Associations, Nytkis, Left Alliance and Dr Ave Maria Semakafu, Demo Finland. Annika Damström is acting as moderator.
