The twelve members of La-33, a figurehead of the new wave of salsa and latin jazz, will be playing on the Savannah Stage. This Columbian group began its career in Bogota in 2002, and rapidly conquered local salsa lovers' hearts with their debut album. In 2007, they released their second album Gozalo, which was followed by plenty of praise and performances all over the world.

La-33 is an exceptional phenomenon in the latin music world, as their home city Bogota isn't exactly considered a mecca of salsa in Latin America. Thanks to this group however, the city has  claimed its place in the world of salsa, and many Bogota bands are following in La-33's footsteps. The band has been described as a modern version of 1970's latin jazz, which was born in New York's latin communities. The group's name comes from their studio's street address: Calle 33, Bogota.
