The Peruvian orchestra Novalima was founded in 2001 by four musician/dj friends. The group takes it´s influences from the music of Afro-Peruvian minorities of Peru and incorporates them into modern salsa, dub, reggae and cuban music.

Novalima´s latest album Coba Coba was released in the early 2009. British producer Toni Economides, a regular collaborator for example with Nitin Sawhney, has been a co-producer on the album. To World Village Festival Novalima will arrive with the a band of eight musicians.
