Multi-instrumentalist Andrew Cronshaw has travelled all over the world with his 74-stringed electric zither, searching for influences.
His bands have included musicians from Wales to Syria. On his newest album Cronshaw returns to the landscapes of his native England, except that this time English folk songs are interpreted by Arabic, Welsh and Greek musicians. Ochre, released in 2005, was critically acclaimed and nominated for Record of the Year at the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music. Cronshaw will perform at World Village Festival with the Armenian duduki player Tigran Aleksanyan.
