2019 sees World Village Festival celebrate a jubilee year with a focus on climate change. The festival is held 25–26 May in Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi Park and Railway Square. Join us in shaping the festival programme!
Civil society organisations and associations play a part in producing the festival programme by inviting international speakers, hosting topical discussions on global issues and by producing exhibitions, concerts or children’s programme.
Those interested in participating in the festival’s factual programme can produce discussions and thus highlight their own themes and content for a large audience. Producers of cultural programme may organise musical performances, children’s programme, workshops or exhibitions.
The festival will handle the venue and necessary equipment as well as the event’s visibility in festival communications.
We are accepting concert proposals until 30 November.
If you’re looking to produce factual programme – discussions, interviews, documentaries, workshops – or an event for children, an exhibition or some other cultural offering, you have until 14 January 2019 to submit your proposal.
When we process submitted proposals, we will favour the proposals that fit the theme and are timely.
We will also host a breakfast event for potential factual programme producers on 19 November – more details will be announced later.
Read detailed instructions and fill out our online form on the programme cooperation page.
