"Yasuni Man" is a documentary film about the Yasuni region of Ecuador and the oil companies that threaten the Waorani people living in the area as well as local biodiversity, considered to be one of the richest in the world. The film screening is followed by a discussion on the future of the Waorani and other indigenous peoples in the Yasuni region and the price paid by local communities and environments for fossil fuel production.

Discussing these topics are Professor of World Politics Teivo Teivainen, Professor of Area and Cultural Studies Jussi Pakkasvirta and Executive Director Sonja Vartiala of Finnwatch. The moderator is the Nordic coordinator of UN Cinema, Petra Hongell of UNRIC. The discussion is produced by UN Cinema.
