Kanchana Sisters take you on a voyage to southern India. The Indian group represents the Carnatic musical tradition that has roots reaching back thousands of years. Their set list of spiritual compositions serves as a base for a show that culminates on stage in skillful manodharma, a type of improvisation.
The sisters are a part of a slate of artists assembled by the Indian government’s prestigious Indian Culture for Cultural Relations organisation (ICCR). The duo is internationally renowned within their genre, having played shows from India to Paris.
