On 3rd of October 2013, a fishing boat transporting Erithrean refugees sank off the Italian island of Lampedusa. 368 people lost their lives, 155 survived.
“Remembering Lampedusa” offers an alternative way to look at death at the gates of Europe. A documentary project consisting of five short films tells the stories of the families of the victims and the survivors. Instead of statistics and uncredited photos, the film shows unique feelings.
